Bollywood actor Rahul Dev has acted in quite a few South Indian films majorly as an antagonist in mat top stars’ films. Rahul Dev made his debut in Tollywood as a baddie in the Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Takkari Donga’ and later went on to act in numerous films. Rahul Dev was last seen in Tollywood in Loukyam which released in 2014 and had Gopichand and Rakul Preet in the lead roles. Rahul Dev is now making a sort of comeback in Telugu cinema in Sai Dharam Tej’s next film which is being directed by VV Vinayak. The film is yet to be titled and is being produced by C Kalyan under his banner.
The unit of the film recently wrapped up a schedule which had scenes Rahul Dev and Sai Dharam Tej majorly. The further schedules of the untitled film are expected to commence in mid-December and reports are doing rounds that the makers are aiming to release the film in early parts of 2018. This yet to be titled film will have Lavanya Tripathi in the lead role, who hasn’t been having a great run so far.

It is being said that Rahul Dev will be seen playing the antagonist in this Sai Dharam Tej starrer and will sport a stylish look. Rahul Dev has also acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films with most of the top stars in the lead role. Rahul was part of the 2015 Tamil blockbuster Vedalam and was seen playing the role of Ratna bhai in the film. The actor was more popular for his roles in films, like Simhadri, Jai Chiranjeeva, Naayak, Yevadu and Athadu among many other films. Rahul has also been doing a lot of television shows these days including the Bigg Boss 10, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, from which he was evicted after having survived for more than 9 weeks. Rahul Dev will also be seen in an important role in Shahrukh Khan’s next film with Aanand L Rai’s film.

Rahul Dev’s brother Mukul Dev too has acted in quite a few South Indian films including a film with Prabhas titled ‘Ek Niranjan’ which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. The Dev brothers have worked in quite a few films together and have been the top choice for the antagonist’s role till 2012-13.
On the other hand, Sai Dharam Tej hasn’t hadn’t a great run with most of films not doing well at the box office. His latest release, Jawaan, turned out to be hit much to the relief of the Mega family actor. Sai Dharam Tej’s previous films before Jawaan, Winner and Thikka were disasters at the box office and did not do well. He finally hit gold with Jawaan which had a patriotic theme in its story. Jawaan had Mehreen Pirzada as the leading lady and was directed by writer-turned-director BVS Ravi.
The director of Sai Dharam Tej’s next, VV Vinayak, had last directed Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 which is one of the blockbuster hits in Telugu cinema. The film is said to be one of the top grossers in Tollywood so far. Mega Star Chiranjeevi made a comeback in films with Khaidi No 150 and was a terrific come back in films.
The leading actress of this yet-to-be-titled film of Sai Dharam Tej, Lavanya Tripathi, also hasn’t been having a great run at the box office and will need a hit flick to get her career back on track. Lavanya last appeared in Ram Pothineni’s Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi which also had Anupama Parameswaran. Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi was a mediocre hit at the box office but critics and reviewers termed Lavanya’s role as just another character in the film.
With so many people in need of a hit, the hopes on this film will be quite high and will look to get their career back on track with it. Reports are doing rounds that the film has been titled ‘Intelligent’, however makers are yet to confirm the title of the film. Produced by C Kalyan, the film is expected to be released in the early part of 2018. Producer C Kalyan is also producing couple of other films which includes Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film with director KS Ravi Kumar which is titled Jai Simha.
