Ram Charan is currently riding high on the success of his latest release, Rangasthalam, which has turned out to be one of the biggest hits in his career. Few weeks later, Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu released which, too, did greatly at the box office. Both the films brought great days for Tollywood and made the makers happy. However, fans of these two stars have been at loggerheads on whose film is the better of two. However, Ram Charan says that these attempts of dividing and ruling is an useless attempt and he and Mahesh Babu are good friends. “I see attempts to pitch my film against Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu. It’s such a useless attempt to make headlines. Mahesh Babu and I are good friends. And we are both very happy at the success of our films. To suggest that we are in competition with one another as to whose film will make more money is untrue. Needless attempts by mischief makers,” Ram Charan said in an interview to CNN-News18.
Ram Charan further adds that he is happy with the way Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu fared at the box office. “I am sincerely happy that these two films have done so well. There was a period of lull just before these two films came along. The Telugu film industry is doing well. That to me is more important than any individual success,” he added further.
Rangasthalam earned more than Rs.200 crores at the box office and Bharat Ane Nenu too had a similar run. Ram Charan’s point is backed by the fact that often these two stars spotted bonding along with their families together and have shown to their fans they share a great rapport. Fans of top stars in Tollywood have often indulged themselves into fights and verbal spats on social media about their fav actor which had many a times left the stars in loom.
