Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma are teaming up for almost three decades and has made fans of Telugu cinema excited. Titled Officer, the film will have Akkineni Nagarjuna playing a ruthless cop and the teasers released so far reveal that it would be trademark RGV style visuals. Officer is an action drama and will have Nag performing some heavy stunts by himself and RGV had recently said that he has designed a violent action scene in Officer which blow fans’ minds away. Officer is slated to be released on May 25th, 2018, however, Ram Gopal Varma just announced that the release date has been pushed. RGV took to his social networking pages and announced that Officer will now release on June 1st, 2018 instead of May 25th.
“Since many technical elements of #Officer with regard to the best viewing experience are taking much longer than initially planned , we decided to postpone @iamnagarjuna ‘s Officer release from 25 th May to 1st June” wrote RGV on his Twitter handle. Fans awaiting for the release of the film would have been eager to watch the combo of Nag-RGV unveil the magic on big screen but now looks like they will have to wait for more time to witness this combo in action after so many years.

Officer also stars Myra Sareen in other lead role and will mark her debut in acting and Tollywood. Although the teaser has raised the expectations on the film, the visuals in it only reveals that the film will be a trademark RGV style narration to it and nothing new in it. But one can expect the story to be unique since Nagarjuna would be playing a cop and the central character. Officer is being produced by Ram Gopal Varma himself under the banner RGV Factory jointly with Sudheer Chandra.
