Ram Gopal Varma recently came up a film which ruffled quite a few feathers across the nation. Starring adult film actress Mia Milkova, Ram Gopal Varma directed a film titled GST: God, Sex and Truth, and released it on digital platforms. The film spoke about sex on a broader picture, from RGV’s perspective, and received a mixed response from all around. However, as always, RGV’s GST has had its won share of controversies. Many fringe groups and activists protested against the film and put in the best efforts to stall the release but in vain. However, there were a few police cases filed against Ram Gopal Varma after he made few statements about women activists on a live show on a television show. This led to few complaints being registered against the filmmaker which in turn led to him being summoned to a grilling session by the cops.
According to latest reports, Ram Gopal Varma was called by the police officials in Hyderabad for a questioning session regarding the complaint that was filed against him. And the filmmaker appeared before the officials today and answered all the questions put to him. It is being reported that the officials took away his mobile phone and tablet that he was carrying with him post the grilling session. However, it is not clear yet if RGV was arrested or was being counselled by the officers of the cyber cell branch regarding the complaint received on him.
Ram Gopal Varma will team up with Akkineni Nagarjuna after almost two decades and this has created quite an excitement in Telugu film circles. Said to be an action thriller, the film will have Nagarjuna playing a cop and the shooting of the film is currently under way. Nag was also recently spotted at the Mumbai airport meaning he wrapped up the shooting of this untitled film with RGV and was heading home. The film is slated to be released sometime in March but the makers are yet to confirm the release date.
