Noted filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has been in the limelight these days because of highly ambitious film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’, which deals with the life of former Andhra Pradesh CM/ Tollywood legend NTR. And, recently, he had a meeting with the film’s producer Rakesh Reddy. As it so happens, Reddy is a coordinator for the YSRC. And, as expected, the producer’s political background has led to speculation of there being a hidden agenda behind ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’.
During an interaction with the media, RGV said that he did not even know of Reddy political background when he approached him so there is no agenda behind his film. He went on to add that the film will cover NTR’s life right from time Lakshmi Parvathi became a part of it.
“I didn’t even know that Rakesh Reddy was into politics. I came to know about it very recently. As I said earlier, changes in the state and important incidents in NTR’s life began occurring after the entry of Lakshmi Parvathi. NTR’s life is like Mahabharata, with many chapters, but I found the chapter that begins with Lakshmi’s entry to be the most interesting.” he added.
RGV also revealed that ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ will arrive in theatres next October.
“The movie will go to sets from next February, and it will be released by October next year. Someone asked me if the movie is being released in October as the elections will be close, but it’s not like that. I am not related to any political party,” said RGV.
