Rana Daggubati starrer Haathi Mere Saathi gets different titles in Telugu and Tamil

The Telugu version of Haathi Mere Saathi has been titled Aranya while the Tamil version has been named Kaadan.

Rana Daggubati heads to Thailand to shoot for Haathi Mere Saathi

Rana Daggubati will de featuring in a film titled Haathi Mere Saathi which will have him playing an adventurous role. To be directed by Prabhu Solomon, the film is said to be a tribute to the yesteryear film with the same title starring Rajesh Khanna. The film was titled Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi but the Telugu and Tamil weren’t decided yet since the film would be a trilingual. And now the makers have announced the titles of Haathi Mere Saathi in Telugu and Tamil. The Telugu version of Haathi Mere Saathi has been titled Aranya while the Tamil version has been named Kaadan. The Hindi version will have Pulkit Samrat playing an important role while the Telugu and Tamil version will have Vishnu Vishal playing them. Haathi Mere Saathi is being bankrolled by Eros International in all the three languages.

Rana is currently shooting for his period film 1945 and will soon start shooting for Haathi Mere Saathi. And before he starts shooting for this film, Rana will undergo preparations for his role which includes getting familiarised with elephants that play an integral part of the story in the film. “Yes, I’ll need to do more for this film. I’ll be taking 15-20 days before the shoot to stay with the elephants in the jungle and get familiar with them before I start filming. At the same time, we are also doing a bunch of workshops because the story is inspired by two events, so we are trying to get as authentic as we can in the filming process,” Rana Daggubati told to a leading daily speaking about Haathi Mere Saathi.

It is a tribute to the old classic but nothing in terms of the script or content is similar. It works on the ideologies of elephants and humans being friends,” Rana further added. The film marks the Hindi foray of Tamil filmmaker Prabhu Solomon.
