Rangula Raatnam starring Raj Tarun and produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna to release during Sankranti

Actor Raj Tarun was last seen in Andhagaadu which had him playing a blind man and gets his sight back, and ends up in an unexpected situation. Raj Tarun’s forte has been comedy since his debut and it has been working well for him. The actor will next be seen in a film titled ‘Rangula Raatnam’ which is produced by Annapurna Studios and directed by Shree Ranjani, a debutante. The makers have confirmed that the film will hit the screens during the upcoming festive season of Sankranti and will join the race. The film is said to be a rom-com and stars debutante Chitra Shukla. Rangula Raatnam will lock horns with big ticket films like Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Jai Simha, which are releasing at the same time. However, this move by the makers of Rangula Raatnam seems to be a bold one and shows their confidence in their content.

Raj Tarun has had a decent run at the box office since his debut with Uyyala Jampala which was also presented by Annapurna Studios. And with films like ‘Kittu Unnadu Jagratha’ and ‘Andhagadu’, Raj Tarun has kept himself busy with films continuing his success streak. Andhhagadu also features Hebbah Patel who has worked with Raj Tarun in his previous two films, Kumari 21F and Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. The pair of Raj Tarun and Hebbah Patel is considered to be a successful pair, and many filmmakers are looking to rope them in for their upcoming films.

And with Rangula Raatnam hitting the screens during the first festive season of the year, Raj Tarun will look to score a hit and have a good year. Raj Tarun was also seen playing a cameo in Anjali’s ‘Balloon’ which recently released and has been doing decent numbers at the box office.
