Nearly three years ago, the adorable Sai Pallavi made her big screen debut in the best way imaginable when ‘Premam’ became a big hit at the box office while earning rave reviews along the way. Directed by Alphonse Puthren and touted to be a romantic musical-drama, it featured young star Nivin Pauly in the lead and became the talk of M-town courtesy its breezy plot and effective performances.
Thereafter, in 2015, she added another feather to her cap when she starred opposite the young heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in ‘Kali’ and delivered a memorable performance. Directed by Sameer Thahir , did well at the box office And earned rave reviews along the way. After making a mark in Mollywood, Sai Pallavi enter the Telugu film industry in 2017 with the romantic-drama ‘Fidaa’ and became the newest sensation in T-town.
Playing the role of a Telangana girl, she made fans go weak in the knees with her innocence and proved that she was here to stay. A Shekhar Kammula directorial, it emerged as a surprise winner and gave the young lady’s fans a reason to rejoice. Talking about its success, Sai Pallavi had said that she was overwhelmed by the love she received for her portrayal of Bhanumathi.
“It feels so overwhelming. I was really surprised by this kind of response, especially for my dialogues in the Telangana accent. I’m on cloud nine,” she had added.
She had also added that she really loved the Telangana accent she used in ‘Fidaa’.\
“Having learnt the Telangana accent, whenever I think of Telugu now, I can only relate with this accent,” she had said.
At present, the lovely lady is gearing up for the release of ‘MCA’. It marks her second film with ‘Fidaa’ producer Dil Raju and will see her share screen space with Nani. The film has been directed by Venu Sree Raam and has created quite a buzz amongst fans courtesy its posters. Sometime ago, Dil Raju ha said that people from a middle-class background will love ‘MCA’.
“Middle Class boys & girls will own this film. Nani and Sai Pallavi’s chemistry will be a treat to watch. Very happy that Bhumika is playing a pivotal role in this film. We are confident that MCA will complete our hattrick list in 2017,” he had added.
Interestingly, it will be hitting screens on December 21 a day before Akhil’s ‘Hello’. While this clash has created a buzz in the trade circles, Dil Raju is not worried about it and feels that both films will do well.
“Akhil’s Hello visuals are fantastic. I wish Telugu audience will love both MCA & Hello for this Christmas,” he had said during a press meet.
Now, there is more good news for her fans. According to a leading daily, Sai Pallavi will soon be collaborating with Dil Raju again. If all goes as planned, she will be seen in a multistarrer the features Nithiin and is going to be directed by Haris Shankar. Talking about the same, a source said that Sai Pallavi is interested in the film and could give the nod to it.
“The producer has evinced interest in bringing her on board for a film to be directed by Harish Shankar. The script of the multistarrer, featuring Nithiin and Sharwanand in the lead, appealed to Pallavi and she has shown an inclination to be a part of the film,” added the source.
Well, this is some awesome news and we hope that she ends up bagging the film. On a related note, this is a busy time for Sai Pallavi. Besides ‘MCA’, she also has ‘Karu’ and ‘Maari 2’ in her kitty. ‘Karu’ is a horror-thriller and will see her essday the role of a young mother. An AL Vijay directorial, it also has Naga Shaurya in the lead and will deal with abortion.
Sometime ago, the director had said that the lady has done a terrific job in ‘Karu’.
“Right from the beginning, I was very confident that Sai would be able to pull it off. I watched Premam as well as Kali. I loved her performance in both. She was very impressive in the latter. She has done a wonderful job in Karu,” he had added.
As far as ‘Maari 2’ is concerned, it is a sequel to ‘Maari’ and also has Dhanush in the lead.
