Samantha about Rangasthalam: This is the most rustic role I have taken up in Telugu

The lovely Samantha Akkineni is arguably one of the most popular and successful stars in the Southern film industry today. And, at present, she has several big films in her kitty including the eagerly-awaited Rangasthalam, The Sukumar directorial is a romantic-drama and will see her share screen space with ‘Mega Powerstar’ Ram Charan for the first time in her career. Recently, while talking about the film, Sam said that it features her in her most rustic avatar ever.

“The Telugu audience is going to see me in the most distinct avatar ever. Right from the dressing to the body language, this is the most rustic role I have taken up in Telugu and I am quite glad this part came to me,” she added.

Interestingly, shooting for Rangasthalam was a challenging experience for her In fact, last summer, the bubbly beauty even fainted while shooting in the Godavari region of Andhra Pradesh due to the excessive heat. Well, we hope that these efforts pay off and the film proves to be a winner at the box office.

Interestingly, the teaser of Rangasthalam was released a few days ago and it created a buzz amongst fans. In it, Ram Charan was seen in a raw avatar that he carried off like a pro.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Samantha. Besides Rangasthalam, he also has Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai in her kitty. Mahanati is based on the life of yesteryear star Savitri and will see her essay the role of a journalist. Young actor Keerthy Suresh plays the role of Savitri in this biopic. As far as Irumbu Thirai is concerned, it is an action-thriller and will see her work opposite Vishal. Th film also has ‘Action King’ Arjun in a key role.
