Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has been roped in for the lead role of the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy (2017). Telugu hit Arjun Reddy was a hit and received a positive response. Director Sandeep Vanga had made his directorial debut with Arjun Reddy and received a lot of appreciation for the same. The Vijay Deverakonda starrer is now in high demand in Bollywood. The adaptation will be helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga who weaved magic with the Telugu original as well. While Shahid Kapoor is quite excited to step into the shoes of Vijay Deverakonda, director Sandeep Vanga has geared up with the pre-production for the Hindi remake.
Talking to Deccan Chronicle, about how much he is excited about the film, director Sandeep Vanga said, “I am really excited and looking forward to shooting the film. However, the Hindi version is not just a remake, but it’ll be more like revisiting my own script.”
“The original plot is about a Telugu boy and a Tulu girl, but since the film will be made in Hindi, the story will be having a different cultural background that has a pan-Indian appeal. We are still working on fine-tuning the script,” he further added.
The filmmaker is making sure that he recreates the same magic with Hindi remake and also reveals how Shahid Kapoor is also working to get to every detail in the script. Sandeep Vanga said, “The best part of the film is that the story is realistic and carries authenticity; so the key is to make the audience believe it. I am confident that if you have gripping content then you can engage the audience. I think cinema has the power to break all the barriers. Shahid and I have been working to get to the minute level of detail in the script.”
Meanwhile, the makers of the film are planning a very fresh face to star opposite Shahid Kapoor in the film. They have already in talks with the three female ladies.
The shooting of the film is expected to go on floors in June.
More details about the same are awaited!
