During a recent chat with a leading daily, actor Nani opened up about his upcoming film ‘Ninnu Kori’ and said that Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was quite impressed by its plot. He went on to add that producer Kona Venkat had narrated the entire film to SLB in order to clear rumours of it being a remake of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.
“Venkat garu narrated the story to him over the phone for 35 minutes. Bhansaliji said he was jealous! He loved the story. It’s such a huge compliment,” he added.
Furthermore, the star revealed that, contrary to popular perception, it is not a love triangle. In fact, according to the ‘Natural star’, it is a film that doesn’t even have a hero.
“There’s no hero in the film either! It’s possible that both of them will be remembered more than me, post release. My confidence on the film is because of director Siva’s honesty and sincerity when he talks about the film. The emotion he felt for the story made me believe that it will work,” he added.
Well, these revelations are bound to go a long way in adding to the curiosity surrounding ‘Ninnu Kori’.
On a related note, ‘Ninnu Kori’ is touted to be a romantic-drama and has been directed by Siva Nirvana. Besides Nani, it stars Nivetha Thomas in the lead. If all goes as planned, it will hit screens tomorrow.
