There were a lot of speculations around who would be playing the lead role in the Bollywood remake of 2017 Tollywood release Arjun Reddy and recently it was confirmed that Shahid Kapoor has been signed on. And making it official, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to his Facebook page and posted a picture in which he is seen along with Shahid Kapoor and producers Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde. Sandeep wrote on his Facebook page – “Its official today. My second film is with Shahid kapoor. Produced by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde.” The Bollywood remake of Arjun Reddy will be directed by Sandeep himself and is yet to be titled. The makers are yet to zero in on the rest of the cast and soon an official announcement is expected to be made regarding this. With Shahid Kapoor being part of Arjun Reddy Hindi remake becoming official, fans of the Padmaavat actor are super happy and social media is abuzz with this news.

It was earlier being reported that the makers are contemplating roping in Arjun Kapoor for the remake but for unknown reasons, it did not materialise. Murad Khetani and Ashwin Yarde have apparently bought the Hindi remake rights of Arjun Reddy for a whopping amount and have also signed on Sandeep to direct the Hindi version as well.
Arjun Reddy created ripples in Telugu cinema post release and Vijay Deverakonda, the lead actor, received rave reviews for his performance in the titular role. Story of a heartbroken young doctor, Arjun Reddy told the romantic saga in most possible raw fashion which connected with young audience, not just in Telugu, but across the nation.
Arjun Reddy is also being remade in Tamil with Dhruv Vikram, son of Tamil actor Chiyaan Vikram, and will mark his debut in films. The Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bala who is known for making films like Pithamagan and Sethu.
