Director Krishna Vamsi recently posted an emotional message on his social networking page lashing out at reports of his next film Nakshatram being shelved out. The actor confirmed in his message that the film is being worked on and a famous South Indian actress will be doing a special number in the movie. And as per recent reports, the innovative director has finalised the name of the actress.
As per sources, Shriya Saran will groove to a special number in Nakshatram. The makers had approached the Gopala Gopala actress and apparently has given her go ahead for the song. “Director Krishna Vamsi was considering an actress who can dance well and at the same time be expressive. Shriya felt like the perfect name and hence was roped in,” says the source close to the film unit. The tunes in Nakshatram are being composed by Mani Sharma, who is known for churning out mass numbers in the past for top actors.
Shriya Saran was last seen in Telugu in Gautamiputra Satakarni alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna. She is currently working on Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan in Tamil which features STR in triple roles. Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan also features Tamannaah Bhatia and Sana Khan playing the other female lead roles.
Besides the Tamil projects, Shriya is working on a Bollywood film titled Tadka which is being directed by Prakash Raj. Tadka is an adaptation of Malayalam blockbuster Salt n Pepper. The film, besides Shriya, also features Nana Patekar, Ali Fazal and Taapsee Pannu.
