Tollywood’s young actor Naga Shaurya is all set to play the lead role in the upcoming Telugu flick, Narthanashala. As per latest reports, the movie will have Kirrak Party fame Simran Pareenja playing the heroine. She has been roped in as the lead after auditions. Simran had earlier acted in many popular Hindi serials before foraying into acting.
A source informed a leading daily, “Simran feels that Srinivas will position her in the best way possible. She feels she can do justice to the role the filmmaker has written for her. The actress also felt that the film’s script was exciting and it’s a great story to tell.”
She debuted in Telugu film industry with Kirrak Party, the remake of Kannada movie Kirik Party. Meanwhile, Narthanashala is being directed by debutant Sreenivas Chakravarthy, who assisted filmmaker Krishna Vamsi in the past. The movie will be dealing with a contemporary subject.
After the successful venture, Chalo, Narthanashala will be Naga Shourya’s second film under his home production, Ira Creations Banner.
Talking about the success of the film, Naga had said, “I would like thank each and everyone for making it a huge success. When we were shooting the film, we had no idea how we would go about promoting the film and draw the audiences to the cinema halls. I would like thank the media for being so supportive in promoting the film. ‘Chalo’ has been an emotional journey and the reason I say that is because when we set out, we had a different team but we, as a family, had to get into production of the film due to unexpected reasons. And honestly, we did not expect that the film will be such a huge hit.”
The movie became Naga Shaurya’s highest grossing film in India and overseas. Songs Choosi Chudangane and Drunk and Drive received a positive response from the audience as well as the critics. Surprisingly, Chalo was a debut movie of Rashmika Mandanna in Telugu after Kannada movie Kirik party and Narthanashala will also be Simran Pareenja’s second movie after Kirrak party.
