SP Balasubramanyam rubbishes rumours of being unwell and says that he is ‘hale and hearty’

The social media has indeed transformed the world as we know it . Social media platforms have helped celebrities/stars interact with their fans directly and strengthen their bond with them. In addition to this, such platforms have made it easier for movie buffs to access information about their favourite stars. However, at the same time, the social media is synonymous with unverified rumours. And, of late, a rumour of National award winner SP Balasubramanyam being in bad health has been doing the rounds much to the shock of his die-hard fans.

Now, SPB has broken his silence on the matter and confirmed that the rumours were baseless. While addressing his fans, he said that he is perfectly fine and lashed out at those who have been  spreading such rumours about him. He went on to add that he cancelled some commitments because of his sister’s death and not ill-health.

“Of late, I’m getting a lot of enquiries about my health from all over the world. I don’t understand the reason for that. If I visit a doctor for a cough/cold, people misinterpret that I’m critically ill, which is foolish. The reason for cancelling my commitments is the untimely death of my younger sister Girija on August 23,” he added.

Besides this, he stressed that one should never spread such rumours as they hurt the feelings of several people.

“This unnecessarily hurts the feelings of so many people. Please don’t do this. To all my well-wishers, I’m hale and healthy shooting for ‘Swarabhishekam’ in Ramoji Rao Film city,” added SPB.

Well, we are happy to know that SPB is fine and we hope that he stays healthy for a long time to come.
