Super Star Mahesh Babu’s latest release, Spyder, has been the focal point in Telugu and Tamil film industries with the film releasing in both the languages. The film marked the debut of Mahesh Babu in Tamil cinema and the super star was received with an overwhelming response. The first day of release of Spyder saw the box office stormed with huge collections. The US box office saw Spyder ring in a whopping $1 million right on the first day and the worldwide collections stood at INR 51 crores, as reported by the makers.

Spyder continues to be steady at the box office even on day 2 with the worldwide collections standing INR 85 crores, as reported by the makers. Spyder is gradually heading towards the 100-crore club and with the pace at which it is heading, might reach the landmark on day 3. This would be a record for any movie to reach the milestone of 100-crore on day 3 which was achieved by the magnum opus Baahubali right on day 2.

Spyder earned a collections of INR 2.1 crore in just Chennai city and suburbs while the state-wide collections stood at approximately INR 9.4 crores. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Spyder Day 1 collections stood at approximately INR 15.8 crores. These numbers are, however, expected to be updated after the numbers are reported by the distributors.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Spyder has Super Star Mahesh playing a stylish intelligence officer while Rakul Preet will be seen playing his love interest. Spyder also features filmmaker as the antagonist while Bharath Niwas, of Boys fame, will also be seen in a similar role.
