Controversial Sri Reddy is constantly in the news ever since she has made some serious allegations of casting couch happening in the Telugu film industry. Following all the allegations that she has been making, recently NHRC sent notices to the Telangana government and the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry over the matter.
The rights body has reacted about the allegations raised by Reddy, saying that there has been lack of grievance redressal mechanism for women in the film industry. “The Commission is of the opinion that the reported prohibitions imposed upon the actress, barring her to act in the films and stopping others to work with her are violation of her right to livelihood and live a life with dignity,” said the NHRC in a press release.
Following the NHRC’s notice to the Telangana government and the central I and B ministry, the Movie Artists’ Association (MAA) on Thursday lifted a ban on her. They have also announced a Committee Against Sexual Harassment which would meet once in three months.
To uninitiated, Movie Artists Association (MAA) had socially boycotted and had denied her membership in the association. Membership in MAA is mandatory to get roles in the films. MAA had been calling this as a cheap trick by Sri Reddy to gain popularity. While some are supporting her on social media, some are judging her over the recent protest.
Recently, the actress had made another shocking revelation that had left everyone in shock. Sri Reddy has revealed that producer Suresh Babu’s son used to force her to have s*x with him at a popular studio in Hyderabad. In an interview with News 18, Sri Reddy made a shocking revelation that Suresh Babu’s son had also sexually exploited her.
Sri Reddy had said, “Suresh Babu’s son cheated me so badly. The studio belongs to the government and it is meant to help and support talented people. They have to use it in a proper way. This Suresh Babu’s son took me to the studio and f****d me so badly in the studio only.”
