The phenomenal success attained by the ‘Baahubali’ juggernaut has made SS Rajamouli the most popular and sought after filmmaker in Indian cinema today. Moreover, it has compelled the international film fraternity to take note of his storytelling abilities. However, its success has not changed his simple lifestyle. During a recent chat with a leading daily, Rajamouli said that he still lives in his two-room house and is quite happy about the same.
“I am quite happy in my home. I am not building any sprawling houses. But I am planning to build a small farmhouse, two hours away from Hyderabad, as an occasional weekend getaway. Not everything in my life is of Baahubalian size,” he added.
He went on to add that the Baahubali saga is behind him, he gets more time to focus on his personal needs. However, at the same time, he stressed that he does feel a sense of emptiness now.
“Life is the same. I just have a little more time to myself. I have plans to do bigger and better projects. If I will succeed or not, only time will tell. Yes, there is a sense of emptiness, although I can’t tell whether it is emptiness or fulfilment,” he said.
In case you did not know, the Baahubali saga hit screens in two parts and changed the very tenets of Indian cinema. Both parts set the BO on fire and earned rave reviews along the way. ‘Baahubali 2’ will be hitting screens in China pretty soon.
