Last year, SS Rajamouli gave strong proof of his abilities as a director when Baahubali 2 opened to a thunderous response at the box office and received rave reviews along the way. An epic drama, it revolved around the war over an ancient kingdom and featured Prabhas in a double role. In fact, such was the frenzy surrounding it that several Bollywood stars praised it. While talking about the film, Deepika Padukone had said that it broke the language barrier.

“The possibilities are endless and limitless. there is no limit of creativity. Whether it’s us (Deepika & Priyanka) as Indian representing India globally or whether Baahubali, which we understand a regional film that breaking barriers and crossing boundaries from their region and that become such a huge success. That’s exactly what it is. The possibility is endless,” she had added.

With 2017 in the past, SS Rajamouli is all set to begin work on his next. The film is a multi-starrer and will feature Ram Charan-Jr NTR in the lead. It has already created a buzz amongst movie goers and now it seems that the curiosity surrounding it will reach new heights. In an exciting development, the multi-starrer is set to go on the floors in October. And, the grapevine suggests that Charan and Tarak will play brothers in the film.

Interestingly, Rajamouli has worked with Charan and Jr NTR in the past. In 2009, he gave the ‘Mega Power Star’ his biggest hit in the form of Magadheera. An epic fantasy-drama, it also had Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. SSR’s films with Jr NTR include Yamadonga, Simadhri and Student No 1.
