According to a leading daily, actor SJ Suryan may reprise Arvind Swamy’s role from Bogan in its Telugu remake which features Ravi Teja in the lead. Confirming that he is indeed being considered for the role, a source said that the makers are currently busy with pre-production work and it will take a while before an official announcement is made.
“It is true that the actor is considered for a role which was portrayed by Arvind Swamy in the original. However, nothing has been finalised yet. It will take some time for the remake to go on floors as the makers are working on some major changes in the film’s second half,” added the source.
Well, SJ Sryah is indeed a nice pick and it will be worth watching if he ultimately bags the role. In case you did not know, ‘Bogan’ was a supernatural-thriller and featured Jayam Ravi and Hansika in the lead. Arvind Swamy essayed the role of the antagonist and won hearts courtesy his performance.
Just like the original version the remake too will be helmed by Lakshman. A few days ago, he had revealed that Arvind Swamy will not be a part of the remake as the role here will be pretty different than the one seen in the original.
“The producers wanted Arvind Swamy as he did an outstanding job in the original. But the requirements for the character in Telugu are different and Arvind Swamy himself knows this,” he had added.
Well, we hope that everything falls in place and the Telugu remake of ‘Bogan’ does well at the box office.
