The highly ambitious Ghazi has won the National award for Best Film in Telugu. And, as expected, this has created quite a buzz amongst movie buffs. Reacting to this development, its leading lady/noted actor Taapsee Pannu said that she is ‘elated’ about the film’s accomplishment. She went on to add that though she had a ‘special appearance’ in the film, she found her part to be quite satisfying.

“Elated with the news about Ghazi winning the Best Telugu film. This is the third time I have had the opportunity to be a part of a National Award Winning film. Even though I had a special appearance in the film, it was personally a very satisfying part for me as an actor. I’m ecstatic with the news about the film winning the National Award Honour,” added the star.

We congratulate the whole team of Ghazi and wish them good luck for the future.

In case you did not know, Ghazi is a war film and has Rana Daggubati as the male protagonist. Its supporting cast features names such as Kay Kay Menon , Atul Kulkarni and the late Om Puri. Directed by Sankalp Reddy, it revolves around the sinking of the PNS Ghazi submarine and was shot simultaneously in Hindi.

While talking about it, Rana had said that shooting for Ghazi was a challenging experience for him.

“At the end of the 18th day, I was gasping for sunlight. When you haven’t felt the sun on your face and you’ve been breathing recycled air for months, getting on the surface of water and on land is like freedom at last. How I missed the beautiful sunlight,” he had told a news agency.
On  a related note, Rana currently has 1945 and Haathi Mere Saathi in his kitty. As far as Taapsee is concerned, she will she currently has a film with Aadhi in her kitty.
