Tamannaah upset over her chopped scenes in Baahubali 2

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is creating waves at the box office after receiving a thunderous response from all over the world. The second part in the franchise, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj, released on April 28. The film, about the battle between two warring brothers for an ancient kingdom, released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. It has become the first film in Indian cinema to make a whopping Rs 1000 crores of business.

Though the entire team of Baahubali is rejoicing over this great feat, news has it that one of the leading ladies of the movie, Tamannaah Bhatia, is a tad unhappy with the way her character has panned out on the big screen. Tamannaah apparently did not like the fact that many of her scenes were chopped out during the final edits of the movie.

Tamannaah plays – Avantika – one of the leading ladies in the movie. Apparently, director Rajamouli, when chopping off the scenes low on computer-generated (CG) effects, choppped off a chunk of Tamannaah’s scenes, leaving the actress disappointed and miffed. However, Tamannaah, who is reported to have charged Rs 5 crores for the film, was not available for a comment on this.

What do you think of that? Fair or unfair?

Tamannaah had earlier spoken about the movie saying, “We have always looked upon Hollywood superheroes like Super-Man and Spider-man but Baahubali is our own Indian Superhero and the connection people have made with this franchise is unprecedented.”

One question to those who says Tamannaah can’t act, then why did she get nominated for Saturn awards for portraying the role of Avantika?

As per recent news her screen space was reduced because of low quality vfx in the scenes. I think she had lot more to do as per script.

wasn’t she given more screen tym in part 1?But she looked beautiful anyway….but anushka totally nailed the character

No one said the others actors were not good. Everyone has they own likes and dislikes. I wanted to see Avantika and i didn’t get to see her. Its my personal feeling. I don’t want Shakespeare’s words dragged to it.

Much ado about about nothing for the wannabe Indian Katniss Everdeen 😀
Say it straight that you are insanely jealous of the accolades Anushka and Ramya are getting. Hard luck!

Tamannaah was one of the reasons for Baahubali the Beginning to appear so beautiful. I cant imagine the songs without her. Even without any previous training with the sword skills she did a great job with the character. To say that she was not good just because you got another character who you think is better is being ungrateful.

I am so heart broken because my favorite character got less screen space. Tamannaah became by favorite actor after seeing her as Avantika. It is quite unfair to her and her fans. I am dissatisfied with the conclusion of the movie. This is one of the reasons.

Yes in Part 2 I wondered who Tamannah’s character and her people were playing? They should have given more screen time to her and her backstory as well..

Yeah, I was surprised that Tamanaah has such a short part in the sequel, but then again she isn’t that fantastic. How come she got paid more than Ramya???

Thank god we had powerful lead actress Anushka shetty, who is extremely good looking with amazing talent to negate the forgettable lead actress in the first part

    zero screen presence

i like her a lot off screen, but on screen she has ZERO acting talent. she RUINED the first part for me with her overacting. i wish rajamouli had picked someone else instead of her.

      I so agree with this.

I’m sure she’s a decent actress but avantika ‘s character and role is such that it’s not meaty.
….she had to be the link of bahubali jr to mahishmati and bahubali sr…that’s abt it.

Well there was not much scope for her character in part 2 and in the end she is seen as the Queen of Mahishmati so yeah I don’t have any problems am quite happy with the final product. She is an extremely talented actor.

Her acting was very bad in part one. I am surprised she got paid 5 Crore for that lousy job. I was glad she wasn’t there much in part two.

      Completely agree!

Yes, some characters were left in lurch in the second movie and Tamanna should have had more screen space in the second part.

Yeah, I thought she would have more screen time. I really loved her character in part 1 and was really looking forward to seeing her again. Also, there was a lack of romance in part 2 and more action. The first movie had a very good balance.
