SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is creating waves at the box office after receiving a thunderous response from all over the world. The second part in the franchise, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj, released on April 28. The film, about the battle between two warring brothers for an ancient kingdom, released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. It has become the first film in Indian cinema to make a whopping Rs 1000 crores of business.
Though the entire team of Baahubali is rejoicing over this great feat, news has it that one of the leading ladies of the movie, Tamannaah Bhatia, is a tad unhappy with the way her character has panned out on the big screen. Tamannaah apparently did not like the fact that many of her scenes were chopped out during the final edits of the movie.
Tamannaah plays – Avantika – one of the leading ladies in the movie. Apparently, director Rajamouli, when chopping off the scenes low on computer-generated (CG) effects, choppped off a chunk of Tamannaah’s scenes, leaving the actress disappointed and miffed. However, Tamannaah, who is reported to have charged Rs 5 crores for the film, was not available for a comment on this.
What do you think of that? Fair or unfair?
Tamannaah had earlier spoken about the movie saying, “We have always looked upon Hollywood superheroes like Super-Man and Spider-man but Baahubali is our own Indian Superhero and the connection people have made with this franchise is unprecedented.”
