Tamannaah answers a question about doing the Hindi remake of ‘Jigarthanda’

Tamannaah said that she will not talk about a project that she has not signed for yet.

The lovely Tamannaah is arguably one of the most popular names in Southern cinema today. And, at present, she has several big films her kitty. Sometime ago, it was rumoured that she would feature in the Hindi remake of ‘Jigarthanda’ and give the Bollywood audience a taste of her abilities, Needless to say, this rumour had created a buzz amongst fans and that too for all the right reasons. During a recent chat with a leading website, Tamannaah reacted to these reports and said that a lot of rumours keep doing the rounds on the net and added that she can’t comment on a film that she has not signed yet.’

“I’m doing so many films according to the internet that I wish I could do as many in reality. Unfortunately, there are only 12 months in a year. If I’m doing a film, either me or the production house will announce it officially. And I can’t talk about a film which I haven’t signed yet,” she added.

In case you did not know, ‘Jigarthanda’ was a 2014 musical gangster drama and featured Tamil star Siddharth in the lead. Upon release, it received rave reviews and became a commercial success.

On a related note, this a busy time for Tammy. At present, she has the eagerly-awaited ‘Queen Once Again’ in her kitty. The film is a remake of the Hindi hit ‘Queen’ and will see her essay the role played by Kangana Ranaut in the original version. Sometime ago, she had said that the remake will do justice to the Hindi version.

“It’s an exciting project and I love doing roles that talk about women empowerment. I’m confident we can recreate the magic of the original. At the same time, not make our film look like a frame-to-frame remake. We’ll adapt it to suit Telugu sensibilities,” she had added.

Besides ‘Queen Once Again’, she also has ‘Naa Nuvve’ in her kitty.
