Having started her career at age of 13, Tamannaah Bhatia has seen it all in Indian film industry. She has seen the ups and downs any artist in the film industry would go through. But makes her the special one is her grit and determination in pursuing what she loves the most. Tamannaah started her career in South Indian films as a supporting role in Trisha’s Enakku 20 Unakku 18, as one of the friends. From E20U18 till Baahubali, Tamannah has been part of many successful films.
In an exclusive interview to Pinkvilla, Tamannaah Bhatia shares her experience of being part of the monumental Baahubali. “When I got a call from Rajamouli sir, I didn’t know what part I was going to play. But when I heard the script and got to know that I will be playing Avantika, it was a magical moment for me because I knew that it was going to be a turning point in my career.“
Tamannaah says that playing Avantika in Baahubali was a very learning experience. “We all had powerful characters to play and being a war film it has a lot of space for all three of us who have played central characters,” says the actress.
She feels that working with Rajamouli and his team is a learning experience. “We were amazed at how every shot was being taken and VFX were being incorporated into story telling. My team and I used to say ‘expect the unexpected’ when we were on the sets of Baahubali. We just didn’t know what was going to happen next,” opines Tamannaah.
Tamannaah performed most of the stunts in Baahubali all by herself. Speaking about that experience she adds, ” Doing the rope shots was very memorable for me because I am afraid of heights. I overcame the fear after Baahubali happened to me. I thank Rajamouli sir I got over the fear of heights.”
Tamannaah had loads of praises for director Rajamouli. “We had the best of safety measures taken while shooting for the action sequences. Rajamouli sir would try the stunts himself first before he puts us into it, that makes him the great director he is. We had the best of safety measures taken while shooting for the action sequences. Well, we wish Tamannaah and the team of Baahubali 2 a great success.
