A lot is being speculated about the remake of Bollywood superhit film Queen which starred Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. The film is being remade in three languages – Tamil, Telugu and Kannada – and features three different actresses in each one. While the Kannada remake stars Parul Yadav in the role played by Kangana, the Tamil remake will feature top South actress Kajal Aggarwal. And the latest buzz is that the Telugu remake of Queen will feature Baahubali actress Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role.
According to a report in DC, Tamannaah will reprise the role of Kangana in the Telugu remake of Queen and the film will be directed by Neelakanta, who earlier directed films like Missamma and Sadaa Mee Sevalo. “At present Neelakanta is busy preparing the script and once he completes it, he wants to start shooting. Initially, a few names were considered to be roped in as director. But eventually, the project landed in the safe hands of Neelakanta,” the report quoted a source.
Reports are also doing rounds that a Mumbai based producer will bankroll this remake.
Earlier, reports were indicating that the Telugu remake too will feature Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role, who is doing the Tamil version of the remake. But the latest reports suggest a different picture. Further details about the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed by the makers.
