100% Love was a game changer for Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah Bhatia in Tollywood. The film was an extremely successful outing for both these actors and set the path for their future course. Directed by Sukumar, the film was released in 2011 and was produced by Bunny Vaas. The film was later dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam, and were successful hits there as well. We recently reported that 100% Love is being remade in Tamil as a straight film and GV Prakash has been finalised as the lead role in it.
News has it that Tamannaah has been approached for the lead role in the remake of 100% Love in Tamil. Tamannaah had played the female lead role in Telugu as well and the makers wanted to keep the originality intact, and hence approached Tamannaah. The buzz is that the actress is yet to give a go ahead and the negotiations are in progress.
100% Love is the story of two cousins who fall in love while competing with each other in academics. The narration of the film was different from the trend that was being followed till then in Telugu. And hence, 100% Love became a successful film.
The makers of the Tamil version are on the lookout for the rest of the cast. The music for the original film was rendered by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad which was a superhit album. There is no confirmation yet if he will work on the remake as well or if a different composer will compose fresh tunes.
