According a leading daily, popular actor Srikanth has been roped in to play a negative role in Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakhrishna’s 102nd film. Confirming the same, a source told the daily that this one will be quite different from Srikanth’s previous outings.
“Srikanth would be playing a villain in the film. His role is going to be quite elaborate and he will lock horns with Balakrishna. The director has planned something very refreshing and unexpected for the actor,” added the source.
Well, we must say that this is some exciting news indeed and could create a buzz amongst movie buffs.
In case you did not know, NBK’s 102nd film is going to be directed by KS Ravikumar and has tentatively been titled ‘Jaya Simha’. In it, the veteran actor will be seen opposite Nayanthara.
Interestingly, last year, Srikanth’s career received a shot in the arm when he received favourable reviews for his performance in the action-drama ‘Sarrainodu’. Directed by Boyapati Sirnu, it featured Allu Arjun in the lead and did well at the ticket window. It goes without saying, if he is able to deliver a good performance in NBK 102 as well, it could help him prove his mettle as a performer.
On a related note, this is a rather eventful time for NBK. He is currently working on ‘Paisa Vasool’. It is touted to be an action film and also features Shriya Saran in the lead. If all goes as planned, the film will hit screens later this year.
So, are you looking forward to seeing Srikath and NBK on the big screen? Comments, please!
