According to a leading daily, upcoming actress Nidhhi Agerwal may soon be roped in to play the female lead opposite Telugu heartthrob Naga Chaitanya in ‘Savyasachi’. Confirming the same, a source said that makers are keen to have her on board as she is a good dancer and has ‘South Indian looks’.
“The makers were looking for a new face with South Indian looks. They felt Nidhhi was apt. Also, she’s a very good dancer,” added the source.
In case you did not know, Nidhhi Agerwal is a Bengaluru-based model and made her big screen debut earlier this year with the Bollywood film ‘Munna Michael. A dance/action-drama, it was directed by Sabbir Khan and featured Tiger Shroff in the lead. Produced by Viki Rajani, it underperformed at the box office and failed to impress movie buffs.
As far as ‘Savyasachi’ is concerned, it is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti and marks his second collaboration with ‘Chai’ after ‘Premam’. Sometime ago, Naga Chaitanya had revealed that he will be playing the role of a man with a disability in this one.
“My left hand will be non-functional in the film and the story revolves around the consequences I face as a result of it. The situations the lead actor faces are unique, and are inspired from real-life. I am quite excited to begin work,” he had added.
On a related note, Naga Chaitanya is currently gearing up to tie the knot with his sweetheart Samantha Ruth Prabhu. And, as expected, this wedding has created quite a buzz in the industry.
