After director Puri Jagannadh and cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, actor Subbaraju has now appeared before the investigating officials of the Special Investigating Team (SIT) of the Telangana Excise Department in connection with the drugs case. The officials had sent notices to few celebrities from the Telugu film industry in connection with drugs, which included actor Subbaraju as well. Subbaraju said that he has fully cooperated with the officials and answered all their questions.
Speaking to the media after a daylong questioning at the SIT office, Subbaraju said, “A week ago, SIT officials sent me a notice to appear before them and I told them I will attend on July 21st because of my work commitments. I attended today and fully co-operated with the investigating officials. This enquiry is going now on a very serious case which we all are facing right now.”
“I feel that this whole issue is being magnified unnecessarily and request everyone not to do so. The officials and our state government are working towards eradicating this whole drug case from the root,” added Subbaraju.
Subbaraju is the third celebrity from the film industry to be questioned by the SIT officials after Puri Jagannadh and Shyam K Naidu. Celebrities like Charmme Kaur, Ravi Teja and Navdeep among others, who were also sent notices, are yet to appear before the investigating officials.
Earlier, after being questioned by the officials, Puri Jagannadh lashed out at the media saying they ruined his life and career by sensationalising this drugs case, to which he is nowhere related.
