Writer Vakkantham Vamsi made his debut as a director with Allu Arjun starrer Naa Peru Surya which received mixed response from audience. While fans of the stylish star loved every bit of the film, general audience felt that the film wasn’t a great experience. Although the reviews and response were mixed, the box office collections seem to have a different story. Vakkantham Vamsi is now prepping up for his second directorial and latest reports reveal that the ace writer may approach Ravi Teja for the lead role. Coincidentally, Vakkantham Vamsi penned the story of Ravi Teja’s Kick which was one of the biggest hits in his career. Although the buzz in fil circles is that the two may collaborate, there is no confirmation regarding this.
Ravi Teja is currently shooting for his upcoming film Amar Akbar Anthony which is being directed by Srinu Vytla. Amar Akbar Anthony will have Ravi Teja playing triple roles and will be the first ever time for the actor. Shruti Haasan would be seen playing one of the lead roles and is yet to begin shooting for her portions. Ileana D Cruz has also been signed on to play one of the leading ladies and will be her comeback in Telugu cinema after a long time.
Vakkantham Vamsi, on the other hand, coincidentally had last written Touch Chesi Chudu which featured Ravi Teja in the lead role. Directed by Vikram Sirikonda, Touch Chesi Chudu was one of the biggest duds this year and failed to impress fans of the Mass Maharaja. It is yet to be confirmed whether has given his to Vakkantham Vamsi for his second directorial. Ravi Teja is also slated to do the Telugu remake of Tamil film Theri which starred Vijay in the lead role.
With such interesting films lined up, the coming season will be an exciting period for fans of Ravi Teja.
