Actor Daggubati Venkatesh is gearing to start shooting for his upcoming film with director Teja and the film is all set to go on floors from December. The actor is said to be going through a make-over for the film and will be seen playing a dignified looking professor in the film, according to reports. The yet to be titled film is said to be a breezy entertainer with lots of commercial elements in it. “This role is going to be something very new from the actor as he hasn’t done anything like this in recent times. Teja is keen to leave no stone unturned in showing Venkatesh in a fresh avatar. The role of the professor will be quite an interesting one for Venkatesh,” a source close to the film’s unit was quoted as saying by DC.
Apparently, the makers have approached Nithya Menen for the female lead role in the film who is yet to give her nod, reports reveal. The makers had earlier approached Kajal Aggarwal but the actress could not take up the project due to prior commitments. Besides Venkatesh, the makers are yet to confirm the rest of the cast in the film which is being produced jointly by Suresh Productions and AK Entertainments.
Venkatesh was last seen in ‘Guru’ which was a remake of R.Madhavan starrer ‘Irudhi Suttru’. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film was a decent hit but not as big a hit as the original one on Hindi and Tamil. Venky has since been on a break and has been listening to scripts for his next. Much to the joy of fans, the film will be a commercial entertainer and is said to have a breezy story.
