There can be no denying that veteran actor Sridevi’s sudden and untimely death has left the film fraternity in a state of shock. Right from the morning, stars—right from Kamal Haasan to Akkineni Nagarjuna—have been sending out heartfelt messages about the ‘Last Empress’ of Indian cinema. And now, veteran Telugu actor Sridevi’s Kshanam Kshanam has reacted to his sad development.
Remembering Sridevi, he said that she will always remain a source of inspiration for newcomers as she was able to attain fame at a young age.
“Shocked and sad to hear that Sridevi is no more. A very unfortunate day for the nation to have lost such an amazingly talented star. As her co-star in Kshanam Kshanam, every expression of hers remains etched in my mind vividly. Although she achieved fame and popularity at such a very young age, she always remained humble and graceful. Her exemplary career is an inspiration for every newcomer wanting to be a part of the industry. God bless her soul and the family, I feel the pain with them. Sridevi will be missed always,” said Venky.
Well, these are some touching words and will strike a chord with Sridevi’s fans.
For those who aware, Sridevi played her first adult role in Southern cinema at the age of 13 in 1976. Thereafter, she went on to star in several popular films like Moondram Pirai, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, and Bobbilli Puli to name a few. Her last full-fledged South film was the 2015 release Puli.
During her illustrious career, she worked with stars such as Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Chiranjeevi to name a few. The 2017 release MOM featured her last full-fledged role. In it, she was seen alongside Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Sridevi will indeed be missed and we hope that her near and dear ones stay strong in this difficult time.
