‘Victory’ Venkatesh, crowned so fondly by his fans and admirers, was last seen in ‘Guru’ which was a remake of R.Madhavan starrer ‘Irudhi Suttru’. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film was a decent hit but not as big a hit as the original one on Hindi and Tamil. Venky has since been on a break and has been listening to scripts for his next. After listening to many scripts, Venkatesh has zeroed in on for his next with director Teja which will soon go on floors. It is being reported that this yet to be titled film will go on shooting floors from December 13th this year which happens to be the birthday Venkatesh and the makers have completed the pre-production works for the film. Much to the joy of fans, the film will be a commercial entertainer and is said to have a breezy story.
It was reported earlier that Venkatesh had expressed interest in featuring in the remake of the recent Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’ and popular director Nandini Reddy is working on the script for the remake. Venkatesh will take a call once the script is ready and will further works will begin thereafter, reports said. However, there was no official confirmation on this. Interestingly, ‘Hindi Medium’ is itself a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Salt Mango Tree’ which featured Biju Menon, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli and Suhasini Maniratnam, directed by Rajesh Nair.
On the other hand, director Teja also has the biopic on yesteryear iconic actor and politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao which will be produced by son Nandamuri Balakrishna. It is being said that the biopic on NTR will begin as soon as director Teja wraps up the shooting of this untitled film with Venkatesh.
