As we all know Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has been roped in for the lead role of the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy (2017). Director Sandeep Vanga had made his directorial debut with Arjun Reddy and he will be directing the remake version as well. Movie buffs are quite excited to know how Shahid Kapoor will step into the shoes of Arjun Reddy actor Vijay Deverakonda. While Vijay’s recently released film Geetha Govindam starring Rashmika Mandanna is doing wonders at the Box Office, the actor speaks about Arjun Reddy Hindi remake.
In a recent interview, Vijay opened up about Shahid stepping into his shoes. When the interviewer asked him how Shahid will fare in Arjun Reddy remake, Vijay Deverakonda said, “I don’t know who I am to judge if Shahid has done any justice to the character or not. I think my director Sandeep Reddy Vanga will have to say and find the difference. But, I will be keen to see what another actor does with the same content.”
During the same interview, the actor also spoke about Geetha Govindam is a very important film of his career as it took hm away from his Arjun Reddy character. “The intensity of Arjun Reddy was too much for me. I needed time to come out of it. And Geetha Govindam was helpful because it’s a fun story,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, while Shahid Kapoor is quite excited to step into the shoes of Vijay Deverakonda, director Sandeep Vanga has geared up with the pre-production for the Hindi remake. Since the film will be made in Hindi, the story will be having a different cultural background that has a pan-Indian appeal. Shahid Kapoor is prepping up for the role and has started growing beard as well. The shooting of the film is expected to go on floors in September.
