Jr NTR starrer Jai Lava Kusa is being shot at a brisk pace in Hyderabad and is gearing up to be released during Dussehra. The film will have NTR play triple roles for the first time in his career including a role with lots of negative shades. However, the film was jolted with some unfortunate news after few visuals of the film were leaked online. The makers have registered a police complaint and the cyber-crime is investigating the matter currently.
The production house’s PR personnel were quick to post warning messages on social networking regarding the spread of leaked visuals from Jai Lava Kusa after fans of NTR had taken it to be the trailer of Jai Lava Kusa and started sharing it on social media. The publicists requested the fans of NTR to not spread the leaked visuals and help them control the piracy in the industry.
In the past, many films have been affected by this kind of situation with visuals of the film getting leaked online while in the post-production stage. Baahubali, being one of them, was affected by this when a sub-editor working in one of the studios which manages the VFX part of the film leaked about 19 minutes of footage of the film. Director Rajamouli and the producers were quick enough to register a police complaint and nab the culprits.
Video leakage and piracy have been affecting the film industry, not just Telugu but nationwide. Visuals getting leaked while being edited and pirated copies of the film getting uploaded online or social media right after the release, have all been impacting the revenues of the film industry and the ones that majorly impacted are the producers and distributors because of these kinds of damages
