I want to remake the yesteryear comical blockbuster hit of Mega Star Chiranjeevi, says actor Nani

Actor Nani has now donned the role of a producer, for the second time, with AWE which has hit the screens today worldwide. Not just positive reviews, but great response at all the cinema halls is being noticed. Directed by Prashanth Varma, AWE has a stellar star cast which includes Regina Cassandra, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Priyadarshi, Eesha Rebba and Murli Sharma in important roles. Nani and the complete cast has been promoting the film quite well for the last few days. And during one of these days, Nani had said that he will either produce a film or act in, but will not do that together. Nani also said that he is quite keen on doing a remake of a yesteryear film which was a superhit one back then. Nani expressed his wish to remake the comical hit Chantabbai starring Mega Star Chiranjeevi which was directed by renowned satirical filmmaker Jandhyala.

Chantabbai was one of the path-breaking films in Telugu cinema in 80s and brought out the humour angle in Chiranjeevi making him a complete actor. And with Nani expressing his wish to remake this film, it will be interesting to see if he will produce the film or act in it. However, any Telugu movie-buff would love to see Nani act in it since he has an impeccable comic timing, which was one of the key feature of the lead role in Chantabbai.

Nani will next be seen in a film directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and is titled Krishnarjuna Yuddham. The film is slated to released in summer this year and is currently being shot. Krishnarjuna Yuddham will have Nani playing dual roles and will be the third time he would doing that after Gentleman and Janda Pai Kapiraju. Nani was last seen in the Christmas release MCA which was a hit at the box office.
