Noted filmmaker Priyadarshan’s daughter Kalyani will soon be making her big screen debut with Akhil Akkineni’s second Tollywood outing. And, as expected,  the young lady is excited about kickstarting her acting career.

During a recent chat with Manorama, Kalyani said that she actually wanted to begin her career with a Malayalam film. She went on to add that she could not say no to Akhil’s film as she has tremendous respect for Nagarjuna.

“I always wanted to begin with a Malayalam movie. But how could I say no when a person like Nagarjuna asks me to do a film. Nonetheless, we enjoy such a close relationship with that family,” she added.

Moreover, the young lady said that she wanted to be an actor right from childhood, however, her parents initially discouraged from pursuing the profession.

“Even as a child, I wanted to be an actor. But like any other parents, my father and mother discouraged me from it. Thus, I ended up joining an architecture course. But, from there, I came back to work with Sabu Cyriil,” she added.

Well, we are happy that Kalyani is getting an opportunity to fulfil her dream and hope that she finds success.

In case you did not know, Kalyani’s co-star Akhil had made his big screen debut with the 2015 release ‘Akhil’ and failed to impress critics. The film was an action-drama and also featured Sayyeshaa in the lead. Let’s hope that he is able to bounce back with this one.
