Akhil Akkineni surprises everyone at SIIMA with his singing skills

Younger son on Nagarjuna Akkineni, actor Akhil Akkineni grabbed all the attention at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2017 after he took the stage at the event. The young actor sang a track from his upcoming film when he appeared on the stage at the awards ceremony. Celebrities present at the event were surprised to see Akhil sing a song so immaculately since he is just one movie old in his acting career.

The actor took everyone by surprise by crooning a song, Yevevo Kalalu Kanna, from his upcoming film. While Akhil sang the song live on stage, music composer Anup Rubens played the piano. The duo had been rehearsing the song for quite some time and Akhil himself, according to his father Nagarjuna, had been rehearsing the song for a while before he flew to Abu Dhabi for the awards night.

Akhil’s cousin and Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati was all praise for this young actor while eminent lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry opined that Akhil was a nice voice as a singer.

Akhil impressed the viewers with his dancing skills in his debut movie ‘Akhil’ although the movie tanked at the box office. Akhil’s second movie, which is yet to be titled, is being directed by Vikram K Kumar and is being bankrolled by Akhil’s father, Akkineni Nagarjuna.
