Vijay Deverakonda garnered a lot of attention in 2016 with his film Pellichoopulu which was a slice-of-life rom-com directed by Tharun Bhascker. The film went on to become a runaway hit and brought a lot of fame to all the actors and makers behind it. Post Pellichoopulu, Vijay Deverakonda signed many movies, one of them was Arjun Reddy. Not many could guess that the film will turn out to be a cult classic and will be a rage amongst young audience. The film had such a huge impact on Vijay’s image that his image was associated with Arjun Reddy and the cuss word used by the character in the film. Vijay will next be seen in a film titled Taxiwaala which is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. But underlies a challenge which the makers seem to be very much aware of – the image of Arjun Reddy for Vijay Deverakonda. Now, to shift the focus of audience from Arjun Reddy to Taxiwaala, the makers have now released a video which is titled The Dream of Taxiwaala which elaborates on how Vijay Deverakonda picked this film also showing why it is important to have a wider audience.
I had 4 super interesting scripts. I was wondering what to do first.

The Dream of Taxiwaala has four kids expressing their disappointment to Vijay Deverakonda about them missing out watching Arjun Reddy in cinema halls since it was an A-certified movie. And Vijay promises to do a film next which they can watch too. From chucking the alcohol bottles to getting rid of ice cubes to quitting smoking, the kids make Vijay Deverakonda go through a transformation and shift his focus from the Arjun Reddy mode to Taxiwaala. The video keeps you engaged while it also clearly indicates that it’s an attempt to get rid of the Arjun Reddy image that Deverakonda has been carrying for long time now.
