Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja made a sort of comeback this year with ‘Raja The Great’ which was directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film was a decent hit and according to makers, the box office numbers of the film were huge. Ravi Teja will next be seen playing a cop in a film titled ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ which is being directed by debutante Vikram Sirikonda. The film will have Raashi Khanna and Seerat Kapoor playing the leading ladies, while seasoned actor Murli Sharma will be seen playing a strong role. The makers of the film have now unveiled the first look poster of the film in which Ravi Teja is seen in a fitter look. Ravi Teja seems to have shed a lot of weight for this role and looks fitter as ever. Watch the motion poster of ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ here:
Recently, photos of Ravi Teja in the cop look from the shooting location of ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ are going viral and fans of the actor are quite excited about this film of the Mass Maharaja. In the photos that are going viral, Ravi Teja is seen sporting a fit body and also seen is popular actor Murli Sharma donning the uniform too. Ravi Teja had played a cop last in ‘Power’ which was a decent hit and had the actor play an intense cop who takes on the corrupt politicians in the state. And playing a copy in ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ too, Ravi Teja will look to recreate the same magic that he had done with ‘Power’.
It was earlier being reported that Ravi Teja has put ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ on hold and may not revive it, but now with the motion poster being released, looks like all the rumours will be put to rest. The music of ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ is being composed by Bollywood composer Pritam.
After wrapping up ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’, Ravi Teja will team up with young filmmaker Kalyan Krishna who last directed Rarandoi Veduka Chudam with Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in the lead. Kalyan Krishna also directed the Nagarjuna starrer ‘Soggade Chinni Naayana’ which had Nagarjuna in dual roles. The film is yet to be titled and will be produced by Ram Talluri under the banner SRT Entertainments. And with an opportunity to work with Ravi Teja on his next, Kalyan Krishna is surely on a roll and one of the young lads to watch out for in Tollywood.
Ravi Teja was also to work in the Telugu remake of Tamil hit ‘Bogan’ which had Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. However, Ravi Teja opted out of the remake for reasons unknown which left the makers miffed. The Telugu remake of ‘Bogan’ was supposed to be directed by Lakshman who seems to be unhappy with Ravi Teja’s decision to opt out after having made changes in the script. “I had to rework the script for the Telugu audience. Also, Ravi Teja had done a certain type of films, to suit his style I tweaked my script. Now, when he says he cannot do the film, it is very upsetting. I need time to think about what to do next – to go with another actor or start working on a Tamil film,” director Lakshman had said recently.
Ravi Teja was also said to be teaming up with Srinu Vytla who is currently going to a lean phase in his career. It was being reported that Srinu Vytla had narrated a story to Ravi Teja and the actor had given his nod. However, nothing much was heard about the duo collaborating since then. It was also being said that Ravi Teja would start on the film with Srinu Vytla after completing ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’.
Srinu Vytla’s recent movies – Mister, Bruce Lee and Aagadu – haven’t fared well at the box office and has been gunning to get a hit in his kitty. This duo, who have had great associations in the past like Venky, Dubai Seenu and Nee Kosam, will now be gunning to score a hit with their next association.
Buzz is that Ravi Teja has given his nod for another film which will be directed by Gopichand Malineni. The duo has worked in the past in Balupu and Don Seenu, and both the films were blockbusters. Ravi Teja and Gopichand will look to continue their successful combo with their third film, and make it a hat-trick. “They met and discussed an outline which Ravi Teja was impressed by. He asked Gopichand to develop it by the time he finishes work on Anil Ravipudi’s Raja the Great and Vikram Sirikonda’s Touch Chesi Chudu,” a source in the know had said.
