Earlier this year, Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna entertained his fans with the action-entertainer ‘Paisa Vasool’ and proved that he truly is a mass hero. Directed by noted filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, the film also featured Shriya Saran in the lead and opened to a decent response at the box office. Now, NBK is all set to enthral movie buffs with his upcoming release ‘Jai Simha’. In an exciting development, the official trailer of the film has been released. And, as expected, it is quite good. In it, the star can be seen in a fierce new avatar that he carries off like a boss.

His massy dialogue delivery and intense body language add new life to the trailer, upping its recall value in a big way. That’s how you make an impact! The trailer also features Nayanthara in an elegant avatar which she does full justice to. Needless to say, her chemistry with NBK is quite crackling, to say the least, and could be one of the main highlights of ‘Jai Simha’. Interestingly, NBK-Nayan have previously collaborated for films such as ‘Simha’ and director Bapu’s swan song ‘Sree Rama Rajjyam’. As such, fans are bound to have high expectations from their latest film.

In case you did not know, ‘Jai Simha’ has been directed by KS Ravikumar and will hit screens on 12 January. Its supporting cast includes names such as Natasha Doshi and Prakash Raj. Sometime ago, Natasha Doshi had said that working with KS Ravikumar was a lovely experience and praised him a lot.

“He is such a perfectionist! I make sure I sit with him and see the monitor as I can learn so much from him. He pays attention to even the minutest of details; he keeps in mind what should come before a particular shot and what should come after. With his kind of experience, he can actually relax on the set. But, he is always seen working, looking at every scene with different point of views. Despite his stature, he is so humble, “she had told a leading daily.

On a related note, this is a terrific time for Nayanthara. She was last seen in the Mohan Raja directorial ‘Velaikkaran’ and did full justice to her role. An action-thriller it revolved around the problem of food adulteration and her star opposite the fast-rising Sivakarthikeyan. Prior to its release, SK had said that Nayan’s constant search for perfection is what makes her a superstar.

“It is a happy moment to act with Nayanthara. I first saw her at the shooting spot of Aegan. Myself and Arunraja were supposed to come in brief roles in the film, and at that time, we saw her. Then, it was Ethir Neechal, where she made an appearance for a song. After that, only at the shooting spot of Velaikkaran, I saw her. The one thing that hasn’t changed at all in all these three film shooting spots, is her punctuality and perfection. That is why, I feel, that she has established a market for herself,” he had added.

At present, besides ‘Jai Simha’, she also has ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ and ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ in her kitty. ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is a historical drama and will see her share screen space with Chiranjeevi. As far as ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ is concerned, it is being directed by Ajay Gananamuthu and will see the ‘Lady Superstar’ work alongside Atharvaa and Raashi Khanna. Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is also a part of the cast and will be playing a negative role in what is the first Tamil film of his career.
