Tamil hit film Bogan starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani is now being remade in Telugu and the film will feature Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja in the lead role. Director Lakshman, who helmed the original in Tamil, will be directing the Telugu remake as well. Reports earlier were indicating that Catherine Tresa was roped in for the remake of ‘Bogan’ as the lead actress opposite Ravi Teja. However, latest reports are now suggesting that the makers are contemplating roping in a bigger actress for the remake given the stature of the film. Emerging reports are hinting that star actress Kajal Aggarwal may replace Catherine Tresa in the Telugu remake of ‘Bogan’.
“Talks regarding Kajal’s inclusion in the project have begun, and a better picture might emerge in the next few days,” a source was quoted in a DC report. Kajal Aggarwal, who already has quite a few films up her sleeve, seems to be the front runner for the lead actress role if the makers decide to make any changes to the current cast. Kajal Aggarwal will soon start working on Paris Paris, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster film ‘Queen’. Although the pre-production works for the remake have almost come to an end, the speculation still looms around who would be playing the lead actress.
Catherine Tresa was last seen in ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ in Telugu which, coincidentally, starred Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady. Catherine also featured in the Tamil film ‘Katha Nayagan’ which featured Vishnu Vishal in the lead role.
