Veteran actor Nagarjuna is going through a wonderful phase in life these days. Nearly two months ago, his elder son/ noted actor Naga Chaitanya tied the knot with the lovely Samantha and gave the Akkineni family a big reason to rejoice. The wedding took place as per Hindu traditions, on October 6 amidst much fanfare. This was followed by a Christian wedding, the very next day. Similarly on the work front, in October, he added a new dimension to his career when ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ became a hit at the box office and earned rave reviews along the way. A horror-comedy, it was directed by Ohmkar and saw T-town’s ‘King’ essay the role of an exorcist. Interestingly, the actor shared screen space with his DIL Sam in this one. Talking about his equation with her, he had told a leading news agency that he is delighted about her being a part of the family.

“You mean my son’s (Naga Chaitanya) marriage to Sam (actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu)? But that doesn’t change anything. I’ve known Sam for so long. She is a part of our family from long before the marriage. We’ve been fond of her from a very long time. The only difference is, she called me Nag sir earlier. Now she calls me Baba,” he had said.

Now, Nags is in the limelight again and that too for an awesome reason. As it so happens, his younger son Akhil Akkineni just took to Twitter and shared a cool photo with his fans. In it, the young star can be seen posing for an uber cool selfie with daddy dearest. As expected, Akhil looks wonderful and can be seen wearing a colourful shit which gels quite well with his youthful personality. Similarly, Nagarjuna too looks absolutely dashing and proves that he will forever be the heartthrob of Telugu cinema.  The father-son duo is apparently travelling to Vizag to attend the audio launch of ‘Hello’.

In case you did not know, Akhil made his big screen debut in 2015 with ‘Akhil’. Sadly, it bombed at the box office and failed to impress critics. At present, he is gearing up for the release of ‘Hello’. The film is a Vikram Kumar directorial and will hit screens on December 22. Recently, Nag had said that ‘Hello’ is going to feature some solid action scenes and may remind fans of Jackie Chan’s films.

“You will remember Jackie Chan after seeing Akhil’s action scenes, even kids will enjoy them,” he had added.

As it so happens, ‘Hello’ is releasing a day after Nani’s ‘MCA’ which hits screens on December 21. While this has created a buzz in the trade circles, Nag isn’t worried about it. He had recently said that there are enough theatres to accommodate both films.

“Five films are releasing this Sankranti. Nani is a popular star and its holiday time. But there are many theatres to accommodate these films and it won’t be a problem,” he had added.

Interestingly, ‘Hello’ has created quite a buzz amongst fans courtesy its teaser and Akhil is quite upbeat about it. He had recently told a leading daily that his dad’s involvement in ’Hello’ makes him feel more confident about it.

“My Dad has been on board for the entire project. He has produced Hello and made sure that everything is just right this time. In hindsight, I feel I should have started my career with a home production. When I have the greatest guide and mentor at home, why not avail his wisdom?,” he had added

Well, we wish Nagarjuna and  khil good luck for ‘Hello’ and hope that it helps the young actor get his career on track.

On a related note, once Hello releases, Nagarjuna will turn his attention towards his film with Ram Gopal Varma. The film marks their first collaboration in over 20 years. The two had previously collaborated for ‘Drohi’ and the cult classic ‘Shiva’.

The film is touted to be a crime-thriller and features Nagarjuna in the role of a cop. Sometime ago, RGV had said that it is going to be quite different from what he has done in the past.
