Iconic filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao breathed his last on May 30, 2017, due to an illness. The legendary personality leaves behind great memories for his admirers and a legacy that will inspire many to do some great work. The mortal remains of the former politician were placed at his residence in Hyderabad for people to pay their last respects. The whole film personality visited his residence and paid their last respects to Dasari Narayana Rao.
The government of Telangana has announced that he would be cremated with full state honours. The former union minister will be cremated at his farm house in the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav confirmed that the iconic personality will be given full state honours.
Dasari Narayana Rao’s will be shifted to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce for the industry people to visit and pay their last respects, and then later will be shifted to the farm house for cremation. Dasari’s demise shook the Telugu film industry since he was one of the torch bearers to shape up the Telugu cinema and bring it to the stage where it is today.
The cremation will be attended by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Union Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya and Y. S. Chowdary among others.
As a mark of respect, shootings and cinema screening in both the Telugu speaking states will remain cancelled.
