Tharun Bhascker’s second directorial Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi is gearing up for release on June 29th, 2018 worldwide and expectations on the film are already quite high courtesy its fun-filled trailer. Starring mostly newcomers, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi is a buddy-comedy genre and is the story about four friends who set out to Goa to shoot a film. The makers held a pre-release event of Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi in Hyderabad on Monday which was graced by Telangana Minister K.T.Rama Rao and actor Rana Daggubati. The event was a star-studded one and hosts Rahul Ramakrishna and Preyadarashi left the audiences in splits with their witty hosting skills.
Speaking at the event, Minister KTR said, “When I first heard the title Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, I was a little worried. Because I hold the Urban Development and Municipality portfolio and when it rains in Hyderabad, newspapers will be abuzz with headlines with the same headline – Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. And I hope the film is not about that.”
Speaking about director Tharun Bhascker, KTR added, “I want to congratulate Tharun and I came today only for this guy because Pellichoopulu was a film that I really loved. Even though I know his family very well, Tharun never connected to me through that chain. In fact, it was producer Suresh Babu who called me and told me ‘You have to watch this movie’. I then watched it one fine day and I couldn’t contain myself.”
KTR heaped praises on Tharun Bhascker and further added, “What is really astounding is, for any filmmaker be it in Telugu or Hindi, when you are doing your second movie the star power increases, production values go up… But Tharun is going the other way. He is doing it all with newcomers. I was surprised when he told me about this. I’m a huge fan of buddy movies. And what I see in Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi is something like a Hangover or Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or Dil Chahta Hain.”
Rana Daggubati too spoke at the event and said “I really like Tharun a lot because we both studied in the same school and he is my junior. Like KTR sir just said, after your film turns out to be a hit, it’s very common that your second film will become more like a deal and our industry is such. But Tharun stayed uncorrupted and he chose to tell his own stories. I feel very proud and honoured to be a part of the film. The cast and crew has done a fabulous job.”
